Little girls full of hopes and dreams

From their days of youth, they dream of being liked by most everyone

Friends fighting over their affections

They become young ladies and dive straight into the world of acceptance

 Competition starts with who is the best dressed; with the best hair

As young women they begin the rat race

Everyone fights for the same job

One day they realize, that not much in their life has changed

Since day one, all has been based on competition

Which we all know is never ending

Little girls growing up in today’s world

Climbing as high as they can go

One day who knows if they climb high enough

We might just have a female president coming our way

Someday soon!
