In the Thickness of the Trees©

Photo by Poet Mondrian: The Grey Tree

Swallowed up by the darkness of the night, I hide in the thickness of the trees hoping not to be seen. I am not to be seen by the innocent, they couldn’t bare to be taken into the darkness. They may never see the light again, nor would they ever be amongst the living in the same way they use to. The living has now become their prey. I am your worst nightmare. Pray you don’t happen upon me in the thickness of the trees.
