The rain was pouring down hard
The streets were flooded
The wind was blowing hard
There was a misplaced scent of Jasmine in the air
I heard tire screech and metal crash
My heart dropped
And that’s when I knew I had lost you
My eyes quickly filled with tears
I sat frantically rocking back and forth
The doorbell rang and the footsteps got closer
The police were talking but I was in a trance staring straight into space
Ten years later
They never found your killer
And your room remains just the same
I sit hoping that one day you’ll still come waltzing through the front door
On paper I lost you
In my heart you remain here always
I'm a wife, a mother, a writer, and a friend. I enjoy sharing feelings, experiences and my poetry. There are many things that I am good at, but I'm sure there are just as many things that I am bad at. I try hard not to judge for we know no one is perfect. I can however say that although I have a great deal of patience, sometimes the patience tank runs dry. If you value me, I will always value you.
Here I will share some of my poetry, my opinions along with some of my stories. I hope you enjoy(ed) your visit to poetsareangels.com. If you read and liked what you saw, please hit the LIKE button.
