Comfortable In My Skin©

Despite the sickness crawling beneath my skin
I won’t let it stop me from all I must do
My every day battles are my own
But I know others may have it worse
Each day I wake in pain
But I know I can still feel
Which gives me motive to go on
I think of all those I love
My thoughts give me strength
My memories keep me whole
As long as I can remember
I will remain sane
Thank you for giving me pause
