Today for the first time

I saw tomorrow today

A past in my future

Hope in my today

 And love in my heart

For the first time

A tear rolled down my cheek

Not in sadness

But in joy

I laughed not out of fear

But from sheer happiness

I feel like rising with the sun

Just to enjoy it and be a part of the day

No agenda filled with things I have to do

Just things without meaning

Full of fun and joy

For the first time

I’m seeing what it means to be free
