Life as we know it is one great test after another
To see who can make it and for how long
Each day we go on without knowing if we pass or fail
Nor do we truly know who is testing us
Everything we do is a measure of who and what we are
Those who love us
Those who employ us
Those who admire us
Those who despise us
Those who look up to us
Everyone watching us to see us pass or fail
The day starts without meaning, but ends up defined
We struggle to realize why we do what we do
But time keeps on telling us we must go on
For there is always an end to a means
Those well deserving are always rewarded
In time you’ll find that this is true
What is the true meaning of life?
There is no right answer
For it is different for each of us
Defined on its own
We see it as we want
When we need to
