I’ve loved country music since I was a teenager. Believe it or not, I listened to every kind of music there is. Some of which I’m not fond of, such as most rap music, it’s just too much for me, but one artist I seem to find tolerable is Cardi B. I couldn’t believe that I found myself enjoying the beat of her music. I love “I Like it“, but most of her songs are explicit, so I’m not into that part of the music. I have to say that I’m not fond of most of her songs, but she has great rhythm and her music makes me think of what she’s saying even if I don’t want to hear it. Country, Alternative, 70s and 80s music, and classical music are my stand out favorites. Every song had a relevant message that most everyone could relate to. My favorite country artists are Reba McEntire, Trace Adkins, George Strait, Glen Campbell, and of course Blake Shelton made me fall in love with country. Each of them had a way of making you feel like family and that they were there for you through their music. There was something pure, but simplistic about it all. We all know that the country music as we knew it growing up is quite different than today’s country. It’s a well known fact that if you want to be relevant in today’s world, you have to be willing to change with the times or you’ll be left behind. I believe that Blake Shelton has done just that and his amazing success at this years CMT Music Awards where he won both the Video of the year as well as Male Video of the year for I’ll Name the Dogs” proves that!
Blake, stay true to yourself and continue to be that giving man we all know you to be. Congratulations on your every success.
