A soldier makes a choice to sacrifice all for their country

Sleepless nights without their loved ones

Countless hours in the middle of nowhere

Uncertainty looming over every assignment

Fighting for freedom for all who deserve it

But are powerless to gain it

Protecting the land they call home

Often losing limbs or memories

But still willing to serve again

They’ll give anything to continue to defend their honour

And the glory of their country

We owe them so much

Our soldiers

Our warriors

Our heroes

Honour

Our defenders

Our protectors

Aid them in their time of need

Don’t leave them begging for all to see

When the need you

Give them your hand

When they see you

Don’t turn away

When they need your understand them

Hear what they say

A hero was not bred to say

I need you

But still yet

They will need you

Open your arms

Open your heart

Open your doors and receive them
