I reflect upon the year gone by. Still wondering where each day went. For its the fastest I year to ever pass me by. I’m not sure I even remember all that’s come and gone. I do know that I’m another year older. But feel no different.
My kids are all almost taller than me. They don’t sound like babies anymore. They have more wants and needs than I eve did. Tragedy still knocks at the door each and every day. There are sill hungry people who need shelter. But more than that they need hope for the future. Starting with a good paying job. I know that this year. I made more of an effort to get to know the people where I live.
This year, I did more things that are important to me. While still meeting the needs of others in my life. In the year to come. I will keep my eyes wide open. Knowing that I may not always like what I see or what I hear. But will appreciate the moments and the memories. For we all know, life is short and we have to live each moment as if it were our last.
Savor the day!
