Dear Love of My Life:
I will walk the ends of the earth for you to hear what I have to say. You can’t close the door to me. I will be there as you close your eyes at bedtime. I will cross your mind when you address your employees during the morning meeting. I will run alongside you as you take your morning jog. There’s no escaping me. So hear me out, listen to me. Take my hand in yours. Look me in the eye and tell me that you’ll forgive me. I promise to hold on as long as the good lord allows. You can’t blame me for an untimely diagnosis. No one wants to leave the ones they love. I just ask that you give me what’s left of today and as many tomorrows as we are given. I’m all in. You’re all that I need. All is forgiven, as long as you hear what I have to say. Don’t let this be my last tomorrow without you.
