You don’t allow me to help myself

You give me no voice

I try to hold it all together

But you take that away from me too

I’m feeling lost and alone

Despite being surrounded by loved ones

They can’t or won’t see my pain and frustration

I grow impatient for the chance to find happiness

But am determined stand my ground

I can’t give up

I won’t give up

Because that would mean that you win

I’ve never been a loser and I have no intentions of starting now

So take your scythe turn on your heals and look elsewhere

For there are no takers to be found here today for what you’re offering

I’m bound and determined to beat you

My place is here without you
