Just Yesterday©

I can’t believe the time that has passed

For it seems like just yesterday when we met

You came into this world from my womb

A head full of hair and eyes so big

Deep and full of hope and promise

When you smile, it lightens up any room

Your spirit is full of glee

To you my young daughter, I bring you this one birthday wish

That you take your gift of life and

Who you are and make it last forever

Change not who or what you are

Because that is what makes you special

Love always from your Mom
