If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to?
If I had a million dollars, oh what could I do?
I’d build two homes of hope, with a sky of endless blue.
One for the bruised hearts, the ones who’ve been torn,
A haven for the weary, the battered and worn.
With walls of soft comfort and windows of light,
A place to begin healing, to reclaim the night.
For those who’ve been silent, those seeking their voice,
I’d give them a place to stand tall, to rejoice.
And the second, a refuge, for souls without place,
A warm roof for wanderers, a soft, safe space.
For those who’ve been lost, in streets cold and wide,
I’d give them a home where their spirits can hide.
Separate spaces, yet side by side,
One for the hurt and one for the wide,
Both filled with kindness, compassion, and care,
A future for all, no burden to bear.
With a million to give, I’d scatter the seeds,
Of homes built on love and the kindness we need.
Two sanctuaries to heal, two places to thrive,
For every soul that’s struggling, I’d help them survive.
