What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail.

If I could drive, oh what a sight,
I’d take the wheel and greet the night—
A car that hums with magic grace,
No need for depth or sound or place.

No need to see the lines ahead,
The car would guide with joy instead.
“Left,” it’d chime, “now right a tad,”
Its voice as warm as dreams I’ve had.

I’d roll through towns in soft moonlight,
With headlights glowing cozy-bright.
To Vermont first, where maples gleam,
And hills roll on like in a dream.

Then north I’d go, past border signs,
To Canada, through pines and pines.
Where lakes reflect the sky so wide,
And whispers dance from countryside.

No blaring horns, no honking din,
Just gentle roads that pull me in.
The stars would light my open way—
My car would never lead astray.

It wouldn’t care I couldn’t hear,
It’d sing through feeling, loud and clear.
The roads would curve like lines of rhyme,
Each mile a verse, each hour, time.

And when folks ask, “What made you try?”
I’d grin and catch a clouded sky.
“I dreamed a road, then let it steer—
And found my freedom sitting here.”
