Taking what we can’t have, what we know we shouldn’t have, may come back to haunt us some day. The touch that belongs to him. The smile meant for someone else, the giggles from the kids that should have been ours, the grief and feelings of loss, the sadness that comes over us when we’ve been spotted by another that’s been watching us. We have now become hunted by another that wants what they can’t and shouldn’t have. In line for a life that’s not their own.
