The joy I feel when my granddaughter wraps her arms around me and plants a wet kiss upon my cheek. I’m filled with such a feeling of peace and a sense of fulfillment I was never sure I would feel. The Joy I feel when my 17-year-old returns from school and comes straight to my room to give me one of her half way hugs. My phone rings and the youngest of my twins eagerly says “hi mommy” with such pure joy in her voice. Then her twin sister FaceTimes me with the same happiness telling me of her day. The happiness I feel when love is all around me.
Oh the joy I feel when my husband reaches out to hold my hand for no reason. My oldest checks in just to make sure I’m ok each day. My second oldest texts me silly hellos and always make sure I have pictures of our sweet little Lilly. Oh, the joy I feel when…love is all around me.
