I sit by the window gazing at the stars

Looking for the words I might use to tell you of my love

How do I tell you that I’ve loved you forever

I fear that you will deny me

And

I will be left to sit and pine for the rest of time

How will I find the strength to tell you

Will you listen

Will you accept me

I long for you to need me

I long for you to care

If only I was brave enough

To dare and share
