Each day I give to you a bigger piece of me
Hoping that there will be enough left for me
For me to mask the pain of living as I do
In the shadows of what once was
With those that once were
My heroes
My suitors
My Friends
They carried our burdens on their shoulders
Not knowing what laid before them
On those blood covered battlefields
Led without knowing what was expected
In the end their conscience was free
They completed their task
And those who could return did
And those who could not were shipped home and honored
Today we honor them and each one of them has
A small piece of my soul
Carry on my dear friends, carry on
