A Poem Inspired by the Late Martin Luther King, Jr. Wishing for Change©

Deeply imbedded in my heart

Are the words of those that loath me

Without even knowing me

They see my skin

And it gives them cause to fear me

So they sneer me

I long for them to join me

For just a moment or two

Oh the surprise they may come to find

When they see we can do just fine as one

If they just make the time

To get to know the likes of me

Oh how I could come to show them

Just how grand it could be

Wishing for Change©
