My skin so torn from the battle of life

I hide the scars that will never leave me

Determined to win the war from inside me

I dig as deep as I can to find the self I once knew

No words of comfort will take me where I need to go

Strength and determination are my only allies

I know I can get to where I need to be

Because I’m still here fighting for you

And now I must fight for me

I’ll catch you in the wind my friend

I’ll hear you when you call

For now I answer to the sweet whispers of my voices trapped

within the walls of my utter existence
