You’ve been keeping secrets

Doing all the things you said you would never do

I’m tiptoeing around

Hiding around corners

Mad because I can’t trust you

Sad because I miss you

And the friends we once were

There is so much deception

Questions with the wrong answers

And answers that are full of lies

Our friendship has just been tossed aside

My patience is dwindling

And I guess I’ve just about stopped caring

I did not sign up for a deceptive friendship

This is my que

To step aside until you realize what side

To land on

The good or the bad

I’m hoping to see my friend

Again soon

And deception will be lonely
