This river before me is too inviting
It entices me to its center
Walk with me
The river tempts me to answer its call
I know once I enter
I’d be doomed to be lost forever
I hold no desire to walk deep beneath its shallow gathering
I beg for your hand placed tightly in mine
I only ask that you not let go
I know should you not take my hand
The river will surely have its way with me
Walk with me
Lead me away from the river
As quickly as our feet will carry us
I would prefer to nestle my toes in a field of grass
With flowerbeds scattered all about
Where the sound of sweet music fills the air
And laughter for all to hear
Walk with me
Through the tunnel towards never-ending bliss
Walk with me©
