Painting By Moy Mackay
Moy’s paintings are created by replacing paint as a medium with dyed sheep’s fleece,
she combines traditional felting techniques with embroidery.
(Note to reader: I find a picture I like or have taken and write a poem about what I see. Hope you enjoy)
This is what I see…Felina Silver Robinson
This broken down windy road
Where it leads I do not know
It’s cement cracks like the skin of the oldest of old
It brings fear to all those who must travel over its decaying remnants
But somehow the colors of all the houses that surround it
Make it seemingly inviting to where all feel they must be there
The neighbors spotted dog comes out to great you
While magical scents from the scattered plants whip through the air
Sending passerby’s into a trance that makes them all disappear
You are forewarned to be wary of this windy road ahead
Enter at your own risk
