When I looked into your big green eyes

I didn’t know it would be the last time I’d see your smile

You promised me you’d only be gone for a short while

But the hours passed

Then night fell

Days became weeks

And weeks turned into months

All I think of is where I went wrong

What I could have done differently

To make you you want to stay

If only you had told me what you needed from me

I would have done most anything

Just for another chance to make things right

Now I sit here watching

Hoping to see you walk through the door

Willing to forgive everything

So that we can begin again

Until then I will warm the bed that you once laid in

Ill imagine myself looking into your big green eyes

As we talk about the love that we once shared
