Before a time I was ever thought to be
When the land was open and trees were still far apart
When animals had the freedom to roam in the place they called home
Houses were affordable for working class
It’s still painful to say that there are somethings still shameful about
Natives of all kinds hang their heads low out of all kinds of fright
So they still try to stay out of sight
Too much time has passed
There’s no longer a need for shame here
Hold your head high and tell your story
Fight your cause and have your voice heard
Times have changed and you must now step out
Step out from the darkness and tell the world who you are proud to be
I'm a wife, a mother, a writer, and a friend. I enjoy sharing feelings, experiences and my poetry. There are many things that I am good at, but I'm sure there are just as many things that I am bad at. I try hard not to judge for we know no one is perfect. I can however say that although I have a great deal of patience, sometimes the patience tank runs dry. If you value me, I will always value you.
Here I will share some of my poetry, my opinions along with some of my stories. I hope you enjoy(ed) your visit to poetsareangels.com. If you read and liked what you saw, please hit the LIKE button.
