Some Day©

So many times I ache from the pain

caused by the words that fall from their lips

There is nothing worse than

the pain that a loved one inflicts

With their very own words of anger, jealousy,

 doubt, self-pity, regret or frustration

Some day they will see the pain they’ve caused me,

The lines across my forehead and the sadness in my eyes,

The uncertainty in my heart for the love I hope they feel

Some day there will be no more pain.

They will see me and love me for who I am now

And who I was always meant to be

some day.
