What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
In a glade where the shadows softly dance,
And the moon hums tunes of old romance,
A whisper came upon the breeze,
A secret shared by ancient trees.
“Seek the stars that call your name,
Chase the winds that fan your flame,
But as you reach for skies so high,
Remember to rest beneath the sky.”
Through meadows green and rivers wide,
I wandered far with dreams as guide,
For in my heart, a spark did burn,
A fire of hope I’d always yearned.
But as I journeyed, ever bold,
I felt a stirring, soft but cold—
A quiet voice, a tender plea,
A reminder just for me:
“Live for the dreams that make you soar,
For truths that open every door,
But carve a space to breathe and rest,
In love, in peace, and self-possess.”
So, I chased the winds, I chased the light,
I danced with day, and sang through night,
But in the pause, I learned to see,
The truth within my soul, set free.
For love, the kind that holds you near,
Is not a whisper born of fear—
It’s the quiet promise in the gaze,
The sacred trust that lights the ways.
“Love, dear heart, is not to chase,
It’s not to grasp, or run in haste.
It’s found within the quiet flow,
Of knowing when it’s time to grow.”
And as I reached for stars above,
I learned the truest form of love—
It lives in dreams, it thrives in hope,
But rests within the heart’s own scope.
For in my heart, there blooms a dream,
Of future paths where skies still gleam,
Where every breath and every pause,
Is touched by love’s eternal cause.
And yet, amid the wildest flight,
I learned to hold, to rest, to light,
A space where dreams and love can blend,
A place where all things softly mend.
“Live for what you love, and keep it true,
The world will bend, but it’s for you.
And in the stillness, in the grace,
You’ll find your dream, your sacred space.”
So now I walk with love in hand,
Through shifting skies, across the land,
With hopes held close, but gently wide,
And in my soul, my heart’s own tide.
For I am both the dreamer bright,
And the love that guides me through the night,
With space to breathe, with peace to grow,
In every pause, in every flow.
