What profession do you admire most and why?
A Dedication to Doctors, Therapists, Psychiatrists, Nurses, EMTs, Firefighters, and Police Officers
To those who rise when others fall,
Who answer every urgent call —
In every role, in every name,
You serve with hearts no fear can tame.
To doctors, steady in the storm,
With healing hands and wisdom warm,
You fight disease and ease the pain,
And bring us back to life again.
To therapists and minds that guide,
You walk where silent wounds may hide.
With gentle words, you break the chains,
And help us breathe through unseen strains.
To psychiatrists, with deeper care,
You light the dark that’s buried there.
Restoring minds with patient grace,
You give the soul a safer place.
To nurses, ever at our side,
With endless strength and quiet pride,
You tend our wounds and calm our fears,
The beating heart through all the years.
To EMTs, so swift and sure,
Your courage makes the fragile secure.
In fleeting moments, you defend
The line between the start and end.
To firefighters, brave and bold,
You charge through flame, through smoke and cold.
With every step, you show us how
To face the heat and not back down.
To officers who guard our way,
In darkest night and light of day —
With justice firm and honor true,
Our safety lies in part with you.
Together, strong — a healing chain —
You walk with us through loss and pain.
And in your care, we find the art
Of hope reborn in every heart.
Without your grace, we would cease to be—
Your care commands our deepest reverie.
For all you mend with tireless hand,
We rise anew, as you had planned.
So here’s our thanks — a boundless stream —
For every life, for every dream
You’ve mended, held, or helped to grow.
You are the light we’ve come to know.
A vow we make, both young and old,
To live a life both just and bold.
You gift us time—a rare amend,
So we begin, again, my friend.
