Once, just for a moment in time,I glimpsed a woman who seemed to hold the world. She stood as though carved from dignity itself—upright, assured, and wrapped in quiet grace. No vanity touched her, yet she wore elegance like a second skin; even stillness bowed to her.

Her words were music—fluent, refined,
each syllable polished, each pause deliberate.
No falter crossed her tongue, no tremor touched her voice.

Then, as if she felt my gaze, she turned—
and I saw in her eyes a vastness,
not of pride, but pain—

a haunting sorrow with no name I could call.
Before I could speak, she vanished,
and in her place remained
a glimmering puddle—saltwater and heartbreak—
resting on a torn, forsaken pile of paper.

And yet, a flicker—
a smile too shy to bloom, trembling on her lips,
as if she feared joy might betray her sorrow.

Curiosity reached before caution,
and with shaking hands, I pieced the fragments.
A telegram.
A husband lost—
somewhere between his journey and her waiting arms.

Once, I saw a woman who seemed to have it all.
But in that fleeting instant,
everything she cherished turned to air,
slipping from her grasp,
leaving her with silence
and a home no longer meant for two

Dear mom©,

Now a voice among the angels,
her song rising with the stars.

She once painted Heaven for me
not with pictures,
but with love—
a place of peace,
of open arms,
where sorrow melts into light.

And now she dwells
in the very dream
she once gave words to.

Your kindness was a quiet light—a grace that touched all who crossed your path.
The way you loved, the way you gave—
it was nothing short of rare.

You set a standard hearts still chase,
a soul so vast, so tender,
you’re a song I hear in silence.

I miss you deeper than words allow—
a longing that echoes
through every breath I take.
