There once was a girl with a twirl who didn’t have a care in the world. It didn’t matter that everyone burst out laughing each time she spoke of wonder. Her mind traveled to another time and place where she described a family of leaf people — red, yellow, orange, and green. She didn’t understand the expressions on the faces of her audience as she danced and twirled across the stage. She giggled so hard that each leap looked like a hop.

Her onlookers yelled, “Hey, bunny! Want a carrot?” She responded, “Carrots are too hard for our outer skin. We live off soup, water, juice, and tea. These bring out all of our colors; just you wait and see!” The crowd laughed so hard that the floor felt unsteady, rippling like the wide ocean.

Once again, the girl with a twirl danced across the stage, looking like a bunny but sounding like a dog. The audience laughed so much that they no longer knew what was funnier. Who was this girl with a twirl? Where did she come from? What was she truly meant to be?

Suddenly, there were no more leaps across the stage; the girl with a twirl transformed into one, two, three, and four more people! Where did they come from? There was no explanation for this, but the colors of red, yellow, orange, and green danced in a big circle, twirling round and round. They barked just like a big old German Shepherd whose tail was caught in a door.

Then, all at once, there was a solid ten seconds of laughter directed at the audience, who then lay on the stage floor, twirling like fallen leaves on a cool autumn day.
