Christmas Even has been put to bed

Along with all the waiting children who

Have gone to bed in anticipation

Of Santa’s arrival

Knowing he won’t stop here f

If he hears or sees anything amiss

So tuck yourself beneath the covers

Put on Your Christmas Cheer

And wait for Old saint Nick

With your slippers on

Sipping hot chocolate and

Eating fruit cake

Waiting,

Waiting and waiting

Till the bells jingle, jangle, jingle

Comes down the chimneyI

Leaving behind gifts for those who

Were both naughty and nice

After eating cookies and sipping on milk

Old Saint Nick is on his way

Leaving everyone with good cheer

Another year has come and gone

We end the day with grateful praise
In anticipation of the new year ahead

Savouring the memory of this Christmas Day
