Today, death slapped me in the face after swallowing me whole, spitting me out just to force me to live it all over again and again. It started with the smooth earth rolling tightly wrapped around our tires until a small white compact car came to an immediate un signaled halt. I yelled at my husband to “STOP”!!! My heart was pounding fast and hard against my chest, tears streaming down both cheeks. It’s no lie when people tell you that their life flashed before their very eyes. I know because it happened to me. It’s hard to imagine that so much can fit into seconds that only fit on two hands. Hours later, I still find myself pouring on the water works, to others without reason, but I know why. My heart feels like it’s slowly dying because death slapped me in the face after swallowing me while, spitting me out just to force me to live it all over again and again.
