I sit by the bay on the blanket that you laid
Watching you stand at the edge of the water skipping rocks as far as you can
The jeans that I bought you fit so nicely
The Irish crew neck sweater accents your olive complexion
Your hair sits just above your shoulders
Your eyes glisten like the sun
The smile that sits upon your face filled with such love and peace
What a sight for one to see
You just don’t know how much it means to me
To see you walk towards me watching your smile grow larger
Your arms open to embrace me and
We melt into one on the blanket you laid for me down by the bay
