The words come so quickly from my lips
No time to think of what was said
Nor to prepare for the reaction I’d get
No silence passed
No pause
Hesitation or doubt
The words I love you floating through the air
No waiting before the next words are spoken
“Will you marry me?” He asked “when all is cleared?”
She responds without hesitation ringing yes in his ear
Why does this bring him such surprise?
For he knows how she feels
For she tells him every day
How can he be sure her love is true?
Anyone can tell when they look into each other’s eyes
They signify only the love that they share
Their love will last forever
Just you wait and see
