Disappointment

Always expecting things to be just so

Nothing ever is

You put so much into a feeling

A thought, a hope, a dream

What does it all mean?

Such labels we put on our expectations

Always setting ourselves up for disappointment

Never realizing the pain that might be ahead

A lesson in life should be to stop, look and listen to your heart

And only do what comes naturally

With force causes pain

Then pain always leads to disappointment
