Clenching my fist, I know I have to work up the urge to approach you
Fear and nerves ripple throughout me
I have to think of something else to calm me
Why am I so nervous?
This is something I’ve wanted for a long time
I start to remember all the things you’ve said to me in the past
My heart starts to calm a little
My breathing quickly slows
Love is funny that way
Because of you and all you’ve taught me
I now have the strength and focus to ask you
Will you marry me?
