This special day
Held once a year
To honor the women
Who raise their children
Who go on to shape our world
Most mothers start with little to no true experience
Other than what they have seen from mothers before them
They heal their sick
They give them nourishment
They follow their education and build their skills
They give them confidence
They teach their young to be the person they can be proud of
But mostly they teach them to follow their dreams
With all the
Love and anguish
A mother gives
The self-sacrifice she puts forward
Her entire life
Deserves at least a day
That’s solely meant to celebrate her
and all she is
along with all she does
