Power of the people©

Here I sit on this skinny little wall
Sifting through all my thoughts of the day
Wondering why things are as they are
Government shutdowns
Baseball players using the league
Mothers dying due to depression
Men found dead in their homes
Men stealing from a police station collecting for DARE
Where is all the good that I know is out there
Why is there so much doom and gloom
We all must paint a picture of the good we know
And help those that feel lost, unappreciated, or misunderstood
The power of the people is the strongest that there is
It will take all of us to make a change for the better
Just wait and see just how much better things can be
