I was raised to know the difference between

Good & Evil

Right & Wrong

Nice & Mean

Easy & Hard

Rich & Poor

Healthy & Sick

But my family never really talked about black and white

Why it matters

If it matters

When it matters

Who is smarter

Who is better

Who is stronger

I’ve always known that you are you and I am me and when we’re together we’re as happy as can be.

Do you think it matters that they see me as black and you are white?
