I escape from life’s pressures

I get in my car and drive

I have no destination

I’ve driven for hours

On a long road to nowhere

Somehow I don’t mind

This road I’m on

Entices me on with

It’s

Mystical

Peaks and valley’s

And never-ending

Skylines

It’s beauty is endless

But now I must return to life as I know it

But not without the memories of

The long road to nowhere
