Searching

Through memories

On paper

In my mind

Or through their words

I hope to find

All that I lost to the knife

They took to my head

To remove the cyst that eats away

At the very space that holds my

Thoughts and memories

My loved ones eagerly wait

To insure that I

Can identify

Each of their loving faces

Pleased to say that

I can once again

Recite each name

And remember everyone’s faces

The day’s will come

The days will go

Soon again I will sit

Searching
