I start here and end up there
Pieces of me have been scattered here and there
So I can blend in almost anywhere
They will no longer hear my voice
They will no longer see my face
So there is no one that could ever take my place
As l lay quietly beneath their feet while they take in the view
They may be lucky enough to smell my scent if the wind blows
Or a memory of me may pop into their thoughts as they remember me
Wherever there is a piece of me
I always close behind
