When I’m home alone at night without you

There is no sleep for me once the night falls

The stars seem to missing from the sky

And

The moon appears to be missing

The darkness closes in

And

I fear the emptiness that’s upon me

The kids are fast asleep

Only the echoes in our old house to keep me company

A storm hits

The blustering winds

Sends howling throughout the house

I feel madness knocking at the door

Lightning lights up the room

Your pictures stairs at me from across the room

I suddenly miss you more than before

The phone rings

I reach out to grab the phone

Instead there you are

And I’m back in your arms once again

No longer here without you
