Yesterday I saw a friend,

A friend I hadn’t seen in more than 30 years

We’ve talked here and there on Facebook

But the visit was more than overdue

Time made no difference

We spoke as if no time had passed

She’s like a sister and more than a friend

It has always been said that time heals all wounds

I say true friends heal all wounds

Cherish your friends and keep them close

But know when they are near or far

That no matter the time or the place

you’re still in their hearts and minds
