Time caught up with me when I wasn’t watching
I am now unprepared for the days ahead
As they come to pack up my office
We’re moving blocks away
Where we will sit high on the hill looking down on the ocean
Where the sunset glows across our windows
And rainbows appear each time the rain falls
Birds sing happily as they circle around us
Will the birds lose their happiness when anger follows
From those whose houses laid beneath us
And graves were swallowed up
To make room for your plaza
May god forgive you
The departed wait gracefully for your departure
You may not live through their wrath
Prepare for the awakening of the departed
