I pictured you tall and angry growling at passerby’s

Instead I see you petite and smiling greeting all who you see

An offer of a peaceful day and for happiness to head their way

You tend to your garden so lovingly

Butterflies are looming and birds are on standby

Dogs stop to chat as they see you

Lesson learned that you can’t judge a book by its cover

Each cover has its own story to tell
