Not every room has walls
Nor pictures
Not every room holds fond memories
Not all memories are good
Sometimes it’s good not to have walls in your way
They make you want to stay even if there is no reason to
When there are no walls you are always free to go
And roam about the globe
Among the somewhat soulless warriors
No longer guarding their hearts
Fearing loss
Contemplating a nearing end
Forgotten dreams weighing them down
Goals never achieved leading to disappointed loved ones
I’m grateful that my walls are absent so I can always be on my way
To a place where my mind is open and free from ridicule
