You’ve led me down a path worth taking

But it’s up to me to make the choice to do the right thing

I ponder my thoughts as to what I’d be missing

But all that I gain outweighs my loss

So I ask myself what holds me back

The truth is there are no right or wrong answers

Just the fear of failing

Failing those who put their trust in me

To be all they want me to be

My enemies are my own

Just as are my fears

Now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel

My head’s on straight

It’s a new day

I will strive to do right by me and those that work so hard

To help me stay happy

Thank you for being a friend

For knowing when to step in

While knowing his true sin

And still taking the time to save me
