No time for lies

That lead to goodbyes

Caused by broken promises

My heart is not a sponge meant to soak up all of your mistakes

For goodness sake

I can no longer take

This constant heartache over you

We break up just to make up

You just take up all of my time

Till I realize that I can no longer stand by your side

There’s nothing left for me to do

But pack my bags

And head on out the door for a score

Hoping that upon my return

You’ll be gone

And my heart will be my own once more
