Tattered and torn is the picture I carry

Close to my heart of you

It holds every memory of

Each moment, of each hour, of each day

We spent together

The miles between us

Test our everlasting love

Through thick and thin

Our hearts will again mend

From the loneliness we now feel within

We’ll carry our love to the ends of the earth

Till which time we shall meet again

There is no road too uncertain to follow

I’d take any route as long as I know that it will lead me to you

Hold out your hand

And bear your heart in wait for me

I will be there soon for thee
